Network Status Network Issues - RCA September 26, 2019

At 17:32 IST on 26th September 2019, we became aware of an incident with our network. On initial investigation, we observed heavy packet losses reported from multiple locations. Subsequently, there was a loss of traffic to a majority of IP subnets.

At 17:44 IST, we troubleshooted this to be an issue with our network due to the addition of a networking component which was planned as part of the network expansion. We rolled back the changes immediately and the network was up by 17:45 hrs.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and we have modified our processes to ensure that all planned changes are deferred to early morning hours IST.
